MUD Social Sessions
For anyone wanting to spend time making, from beginners to advanced, all are welcome. These are casual sessions and you can book anytime.
Bring your own project to life or ask us to guide you through.
$60 per 2 hour session.
Materials Provided:
Sculpting tools
Clay, firing and glazing are not included.
Clay - $3 per kilo
Firing - $3 per item
Glazing $3 per item
Glaze firing $3 per item
Firing & Glazing Process: Your pieces will be fired and glazed after the workshop. Once your pottery is bisqued (in approximately two weeks), we will invite you to the MUD studio to glaze your creations. The entire process will take about four weeks from start to finish, and completed pieces can be picked up or mailed for an additional cost.
Pieces not collected within 4 weeks of glazing or bisquing will be recycled.
You must be 16 years or older to attend, and class sizes are strictly limited.

The MUD Club
Welcome to The MUD Club for Kids, a hands-on, creative workshop where kids can dive into the world of clay and let their imaginations run wild!
These unique workshops are designed to introduce children to the joys of working with clay, fostering creativity, and developing fine skills through the art of sculpting.
Held after school on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 4pm until 5pm.
$40 per 1 hour session or $350 for a book of 10 sessions
Age Group: 5 - 15 years old.

* Sculpting tools
* Paints and brushes
Conditions: Children under 11 must be accompanied by a paying adult - you also get the opportunity to unleash your creativity.

The January School Holidays MUD Club
Welcome to our January 2025 School Holiday program or kids.

Platter and Plate
Join Jules from Flow and Flourish and Sue from MUD Ceramics for a full day of creativity, connection and mindful flow at Little Forest Farm in Milton.
In this nature-immersed workshop, Sue will guide you in designing and handcrafting your very own platter and plate set, while Jules will introduce you to accessible mindfulness practices to support your nervous system and enhance your creative experience.
Pottery is not just an art form; it’s a grounding practice that connects us to the earth and each other. and this full day experience allows you to connect with both fellow participants and some cheeky farmyard friends.

Make a Tapas Set
Join us for a creative 2 hour workshop where you'll craft your own tapas set, drawing inspiration from colourful Spanish designs. This hands-on experience is perfect for beginners and advanced potters.
What you will make
Each set includes 4 tapas bowls and a tapas platter

Make a Decorative Leaf Set
In this 2 hour workshop, you will craft a stunning set of handmade leaf plates from clay. Drawing inspiration from nature, we'll press and carve natural leaves into the clay to create intricate designs and textures. This hands-on experience is perfect for all skill levels, offering a creative and relaxing way to connect with nature while learning or enhancing your pottery techniques. By the end of the session, you'll have a unique set of leaf-inspired plates to cherish or gift.

Make a Traditional Lichtenhauser
Make a traditional German Tea Candle House. These beautiful tea light houses are a German tradition and the designs are usually based on historic buildings.
Normally displayed at Christmas time, these tea light houses look great at any time.

Make a set of Dinner Plates and Bowls
It's time to hide those shop bought dinner plates and wow your guests with your very own home made dinner set!
In this three hour class, you’ll learn how to create your very own dinner set. You'll learn the process of coil, slab and pinch pot techniques.
What you will make
Each set includes two plates, and two bowls.

Important things to note:
Firing & Glazing Process:
You can take your pieces with you at the end of your workshop, however they will not be fired or glazed.
Once your pieces are bone dry (at the Greenware stage) it will be fired (bisqued). This normally takes two weeks to reach this stage. Weather dependant.
Once your pottery is bisqued, we will message you to come in to the MUD studio to glaze your creations. The process will take about four weeks from start to finish, and completed pieces can be picked up or mailed for an additional cost.
Items not collected within 4 weeks, once we have contacted you ( bisqued or glazed) will go into our $2 basket. proceeds wgo to the Food Bank.
